In 2018 we were delighted to accept the donation of this charming framed pencil drawing by John Frye Bourne from Laurie Goldsmith, who bought it at auction some years ago.
He felt it was right that the drawing should be returned to Harpenden where John Frye Bourne was living and working at the time it was made (1951), before being registered by the Society of Graphic Art, presumably for an exhibition that year.
It is likely that the sitter was a local gentleman. Can anyone help identify him?
