The new edition of Hertfordshire Pevsner has now been launched and published. James Bettley's summary of this detailed analysis of Flowton Priory is on p.235. His coverage of Harpenden and Rothamsted has been expanded from 5 pages in the 1977 edition to 11 pages, including information on local architects. The tone is notably positive and inaccuracies in earlier editions have been corrected.

Linda Dyne has told us that her father, Alan Eke, employed by C F Putterill, timber-merchants, was sent to Flowton in Suffolk in c.1923 to dismantle the 'priory', marking each piece, and transport it to Harpenden where it was stored and subsequently reconstructed according to the marked pieces.
