Edmund (Charlie) Dines - 1899-1918

Here is newspaper cutting reporting Edmund Dines had been killed in action in Ypres.  The report states the incident occurred on 1st October 1918.

His name is on the Tyne Cot memorial near Ypres. It is also on the Harpenden War Memorial on Church Green and the memorial plaque in St Nicholas Church.

Edmund’s great-niece, Samantha (my daughter), arranged for Charlie’s name to be read out at the fantastic poppy event at the Tower of London.
