The Harpenden & Hemel Hempstead Branch Railtour of Sat 11th May 1957. My father made the excellent choice of capturing the outward run climbing to and passing through Roundwood Halt and then going to Harpenden Central to see the return. I of course was on the train and got some photos at Redbourn and Hemel Hempstead, but greatly regret not taking any shots beyond Hemel Hempstead station. The posed group on Harpenden station is of Andy Dow, Simon Metcalfe and yours truly with Andy’s brother Graham (future Bishop of Willesden then Carlisle) visible on the extreme right.
