Financial support for the Society

The monies received from the substantial legacy from Leslie Casey in 2018 have rightly been placed in a separate designated Museum Development Fund to cover the capital costs of fitting out the Museum in the Eric Morecambe Centre plus the ongoing and material fixed costs due under the terms of the Lease of the Museum facility. Having prepared a conservatively framed longer term Business Plan, trustees are confident that this Fund (having also benefitted from the investment income generated on the unspent legacy receipt) will safely finance these costs into the medium term.

However and although ‘staffed’ by volunteers, operating the Museum will increase the Society’s ongoing revenue costs which will need to be financed by increasing income streams from existing and new sources.

Clearly membership subscriptions are a valuable and stable income source so if you are not currently a member then click ‘here’ to see how to join.

However, trustees are also keen to discern additional routes to raising money to support the Society’s ongoing operations so please so see below for how you can help.
