Conservation of a 1910 Underground Water Storage System

Job finished and ready to use

Following the modern (?) idea of the need for water conservation Miles Golding renovated the 1910 underground rainwater storage system at his house in Tennyson Road over 2008 – 2009 removing nearly 9 tonnes of rubble and sludge in the process.

Unfortunately a reproduction pump had to be installed, the original one being beyond repair.

The original pump retrieved from the garden but beyond repair
