Anton Pieck visited his daughter in Harpenden over many years, and made sketches around the village and in St Albans.

The Pieck family have kindly allowed scans of these sketches to be published on this website, with the understanding that the copyright is held by the Pieck family.   • It is not for sure, it is only a suggestion: I think the building is 73 High Street at the corner of Sun Lane, being the neighbour house of Tollgate Cottage.

  • The correct title should be Fishpool Street, with the “Godmersham House” (or “Bankart House”) on no. 13 and “The Crow”, a former Inn on no. 15 (closed in 1914).
