Joseph Lines, from one of the many branches of the Lines family, was blacksmith there in 1826, and the forge was run at 53 High Street by descendents until it was demolished c 1957, along with nos.51 to 55 High Street (though there are no photos to confirm this). Anvill House was built in their place.
