Customer Service on the Midland Railway - 1883

Ernest Anscombe's polite request

We have few traces of the Anscombe family in our archives, but this correspondence turned up, possibly from the Hodgson family papers – Mr Henry Tylston Hodgson of Welcombe was the Director of the Midland Railway.

Of note, also, are three postmarks on the envelope, indicating that letters were franked at each post office they passed through before delivery.

Can someone perhaps check in Bradshaws whether this stop was agreed?
